Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Project Manager with a technical/engineering background to lead and supervise digital transition projects in the IT services domain. This role is based in Melle, Belgium, and offers the flexibility of freelance employment.

Responsibilities:

As the Project Manager, your main responsibilities include:

  • Define project scope and associated work packages, estimating workload and costs based on input from involved teams.
  • Develop an implementation plan for the realization of the expected project scope.
  • Monitor and report progress in terms of timing, budget, and quality to the steering committee.
  • Manage risks, actions, and issues arising from the project.
  • Organize and facilitate necessary consultations with stakeholders, both internal and external, at different levels.
  • Determine priorities in consultation with customers, business, and experts.
  • Develop test strategies and schedules to ensure project quality.

Requirements:

  • Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with a technical/engineering background or equivalent through experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and supervising projects (minimum 5 years at a senior level).
  • Experience in technical environments related to the projects.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMBok) and Agile/Scrum.
  • Knowledge and experience of ITIL.
  • Fluent communication in Dutch at European CEFR level C2.

Skills:

Demonstrated experience in supervising digital transition projects (minimum 3 years at a medior level).

Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMBok).

Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Familiarity with ITIL practices.

Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.

High customer focus and flexibility to travel within Flanders as required.
