As a Project Manager,you support and play an active role as member of the Project Management Office team in the company. You carry the implementation of the vision and strategy of the Organization and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager your responsibilities are:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure resource availability in collaboration with the resource manager and the portfolio manager.
  • For each project, develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress (phases, deliverables, milestones...).
  • Support project launches (tailoring, advice, guidance, templates, tools, set-up).
  • Establish a transparent and trusting relationship with the project team and the sponsor (Board member) to ensure that the project is in line with the company’s strategy.
  • Implement active management of project risks. To that extend, attend as an observer to all technical/marketing meetings necessary.
  • Track project performance with key performance indicators, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Develop, track, and maintain dependencies across projects.
  • When a stage gate or a milestone is reached, ensure that all the proper information is delivered in advance of the steerco (Pre-read) so that the stakeholders make an informed decision.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Ensure that change requests are properly escalated.
  • Plan the project meetings and the steerco on agendas and delivers the MoM.
  • Propose scenarios, challenge stakeholder until everyone is convinced a good decision is made.
  • Support project closure (reviews, lessons learned…).

Your Qualities & Skills

  • Master degree, preferably in Business / Industrial / Civil Engineer.
  • Relevant experience of 5 years as a project manager.
  • Project management qualification (PMP or PRINCE2 practitioner) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of BI tools and Wrike a plus.
  • Proficiency in a project tracking tool, ideally in D365.
  • Full proficiency in English and French (written and oral).
  • Effective Time Management and Priority Management skills as well as understanding of change management concepts.
  • Technical and “on the field” appetite. Extremely curious.
  • Able to render crystal clear complex things.
  • Natural leadership. Demonstrate a strong influencing skill.
  • Good communicator. Articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization.
  • A “challenging the status quo” attitude. You should take nothing for granted. The 5 “whys” is one of his favorite tools.
  • You accept to be challenged, in a positive way.
  • Challenging is not judging: should have the ability to transform challenging questions into a brain storming session.
  • Solution oriented, able to propose several scenarios.
