Our AML Compliance expert will support the AMLCO covering for AMLCO BAU and AML activities/projects, including analysis of AML cases requested by the business to render AML opinions, treatment of Finscan alerts, etc…

His main activities will be the AML monitoring activities, policies updates, AML legal watch, transaction monitoring/ SARs preparation, funds repatriation, support to first line, support to projects.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing, reviewing & implementing the necessary systems & documentation to comply with the applicable AML regulatory framework;
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable AML regulations for the insurance sector;
  • Drafting and executing the AML portion of compliance monitoring and action plans;
  • Contribute to the Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment analysis;
  • Monitor AML risks in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan;
  • Reporting on AML risk (internal & external) and implementation of standards, following internal standards and local regulations;
  • Ensuring that Athora Belgium has adequate anti-money laundering policies and procedures in place;
  • Monitoring account openings and transactions and ensuring that suspicious activity is investigated where appropriate;
Profile
  • You have a university degree in Law, Economics, or Management.
  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience in an AML role in a financial institution (preferably a Life insurance company)
  • You are fluent in English and one of our national languages (FR/NL)
  • You are well organised, analytical and results oriented.
  • You have good communication skills, written and oral, and able to present your topics in front of our Direction Committee
