Are you an amazing Analytics Technology Leadeager to join our Information Technology department,based in our office in Braine-L’Alleud, Belgium?
Within the global UCB IT organization, the Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) is playing a crucial role in enabling stakeholders from numerous functional domains with efficient and innovative technology solutions in the areas of BI, Analytics and AI.
As Analytics Technology Lead, you will:
- Be responsible for defining the reporting and data visualization technology platforms roadmap and in charge of the maintainability and the scalability of the proposed solutions.
- Define and manage self-service governance frameworks for the relevant technology platforms, empowering end-users while ensuring compliance, stability, and security for UCB data and systems.
- Lead platform implementations/projects and manage the stakeholders and vendors involved, by showing advanced project management skills and ability to deliver technology projects in a matrix organization collaborating with the various departments involved like security, technology strategy and infrastructure.
- Provide guidance and expertise to support the delivery of analytics initiatives, enabling technical excellence.
- Define and ensure consistent use of best practices related to the design and architecture of analytics solutions
- Perform quality checks, peer reviews and approve the solution definition and technical design of analytics solutions delivered by various project/development teams.
- Execute proofs-of-concepts, including hand-on developments in that context.
- Contribute to define how new/emerging technologies may support the overall UCB analytics roadmap.
- Drive/support the creation of project proposals (including high-level design and effort/cost/time estimates) or validate such proposals provided by vendors.
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to the partner in charge of maintenance and support of the analytics platforms.
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in designing, developing, and delivering analytics solutions involving several technologies and diverse data sources.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, Kimball data modelling, BI theories, principles, and practices.
- Expertise in reporting/dashboarding, data visualization and augmented analytics
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills, with ability to quickly learn and comprehend business processes and problems to effectively design solutions.
- Must have: experience with Power BI, ideally in an enterprise context and with the full stack (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Report Builder), integration of Power BI with Azure ML services
- Experience with Qlik Sense, preferably covering all aspects (data architecture, app development and system administration/architecture), is a plus.
- Experience with Cognos Analytics (reporting, modelling and administration/architecture) is a plus.
- Exposure to Denodo, or another data virtualization technology, is a plus.
- Exposure to most modern analytics cloud solutions is a plus.
- Owning certifications in relevant technologies is a plus.
- Project management experience, good communication skills, team player.
- Ability to manage relationships and expectations with various types of stakeholders.
- Fluent in English
