Assortment & Merchandising Manager

Consumer Products Division

What I do:

I own the formulation, implementation and close follow up of the assortment and planograms at retailers. I drive the continuous optimization of the assortment to ensure category growth in line with our financial KPI’s. I maximize distribution potential, the visibility and the shelf space of our categories at our clients. I support the category managers in the development of category projects, and I ensure that implementation is aligned with our HUB category strategy and brand priorities.

My responsibilities amongst others are:

  • Analyzing the market, the competitive & CPD performance in our categories
  • Formulate assortment recommendations and drive continuous assortment optimization (in/out) with a clear focus on driving category growth
  • Formulate and drive the Priority List per category (strategic assortment ranking) across retailers
  • Translate retailers’ official planograms, and develop shelf visions aligned with our category vision
  • Monitor distribution & innovation launches
  • Be the voice of Belgium towards the Hub regarding assortment/merchandising topics
  • Assist the category managers in the development and realization of category projects
  • be the owner of data tools & planogramming tools

Our ideal candidate has at least:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of working experience
  • Business experience in assortment/category management is a pre.
  • Strong level of French and English are a must, any other language is beneficial (Dutch e.g.)

The ideal candidate would already have a work experience and knowledge of Excel, PPT, Nitro & Spaceman/ planogramming tools
