Automation Project Engineer - Mechelen Region - Permanent Position

I am collaborating with a leading consultancy headquartered in the Mechelen area, renowned for their expertise in enhancing production processes for clients throughout Belgium. They are currently seeking an Automation Project Engineer to bolster their project engineering team, dedicated to supporting clients within the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Program a variety of PLC, SCADA in DCS systems and be responsible for the commissioning of the machines.
  • Working on turnkey projects and optimise existing installations.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to ensure success of projects.
  • Create the necessary documents to define the needs of clients.
  • Write technical specifications.
  • Be able to identify opportunities for improvements and initiate them.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in one or more PLC, SCADA and HMI systems (Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff, WinCC.)
  • Proven experience in production environments.
  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch is a plus.
