Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in PHP and the Symfony framework to develop, maintain, and optimize our web applications. You will build scalable backend logic, develop API integrations with CRM, ERP, e-commerce and logistics systems, and ensure performance, security, and reliability across our system landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP and Symfony.
  • Design and build robust API integrations with CRM, ERP, e-commerce, and logistics systems.
  • Work with Symfony and/or Shopware (experience is a strong plus).
  • Manage and optimize databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Implement caching strategies to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Ensure best practices for web security and data protection.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software as needed.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming and the Symfony framework.
  • Solid understanding of MVC design patterns.
  • Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
  • Experience with PIM (Product Information Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of frontend technologies such as JavaScript and HTML5.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their query languages.
  • Good understanding of accessibility, security standards, and data protection principles.
  • Proficient with code versioning tools like Git.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and clear, proactive communication.
  • Fluent in English.
