Job Description

We are looking for a Big Data Engineer to join our Service Intelligence squad and contribute to this process by shaping big volumes of core In Home Connectivity, web and mobile app data into diverse and creative data solutions.

Make a difference and…
  • Take a pivotal role in the big data development of challenging projects related to various topics processing billions of records per day
  • Develop real-time data processing solutions
  • Join an agile squad and work in a dynamic and fun team closely together with your Scrum Master and Product Owner
  • Collaborate with our BI Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Insights Analysts, Data Architects and Infrastructure Specialists to design and implement state-of-the art data solutions
  • Democratize access to (large-scale) information assets for business users
Got this?
  • Master or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Information Management (or equivalent through experience)
  • You have a genuine interest in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Scala, Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, ELK, ...) and like to stay in touch with new evolutions. You are eager to learn and like variation in your job working on different scopes. Experience in these technologies is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with cloud technologies is a plus
  • With great power comes great responsibility. Privacy and ethics are top of mind.
  • You possess good communication skills. You feel comfortable challenging others
  • The ability to get things done
  • You are pragmatic in your approach. You use the right techniques to provide the needed quality and detail while avoiding complex solutions.
  • Good English skills. Dutch is a plus.
