Aggregating solutions for our channel partners across these next-generation technologies is critically important to Tech Data’s growth and transformation in service to our channel partners. As part of our commitment to digital transformation, Tech Data is investing in resources, digital tools and skills to accelerate our ability to serve channel partners, particularly across these next-generation technologies.
In the role as “Solution Aggregation Business Development Manager (BDM)”, you will drive solution aggregation sales numbers, and develop sales strategies and attract new clients for our cloud aggregated solutions. The successful BDM will source exciting and new sales opportunities, grow existing metrics, and close sales to achieve quotas. The BDM will also have ownership on key strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing value ad and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of solutions and services.
Accountabilities:
- Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (attend event, presentations, existing accounts, follow-up on lead, some cold calling).
- Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships.
- Meet personal and team sales targets.
- Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads.
- Attend meeting, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments.
- Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data.
- Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory.
- Proven sales experience - 5+ years in industry or 7+ years outside of industry
- Track record of over-achieving quota.
- Experience with consultative solution selling
- Experience working with innovative technologies within the channel.
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent.
