We are also in charge of projects to improve their existing buildings in order to guarantee a quality service and optimum performance.

To continue our development in this fast-growing environment, we are looking for a : Business Unit Manager - Data Center

Function

Our Data Centre department represents average annual sales of €20m and employs around forty people and around a hundred subcontractors.

Reporting directly to General Management, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Data Centre business unit in order to achieve profitability and growth targets. You will play a key role in optimising operations, managing resources and developing new business opportunities.

Main responsibilities

  • Defines and implements the Data Centre unit’s commercial strategy in line with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the data centre, ensuring that quality work is carried out to meet deadlines (producing costings, validating tenders, monitoring projects, etc.).
  • Managing and motivating a team of professionals to achieve common goals.
  • Ensuring the unit’s financial management: drawing up budgets, financial reviews of projects, monitoring invoicing, etc.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and exploit market opportunities to increase market share.

Profile

  • You are an engineer with an industrial specialisation or equivalent through experience.
  • You have solid experience (min. 10 years) in managing large electrical engineering or construction projects. This means financial management of projects in excess of €1m and management of multidisciplinary teams.
  • You have a good command of both French and English
  • Your ability to establish contact and build lasting professional relationships enables you to earn the trust of your customers.
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • You are recognised for your interpersonal skills and your ability to adapt.
  • You live within a 1-hour radius of Mons and are open to national and international travel.
