Main responsibilities

• Manage the supplier relationships, quality and availability within the Global sourcing policies as defined (regional, global) as defined by the category Manager.
  • Focus on categories of HR
  • Focus on categories of Marcom, Facility Management and PPE
  • Focus on categories of Fleet management and waste management
  • Focus on categories Hotels, Stationary, small expenses
• Focus on maximizing the transactional cost reduction through supplier management (reliable suppliers in terms of financial position, quality and service delivered within stable or reduced price for the goods/ services rendered), spend management, and optimize supply portfolio. You actively participate in the virtual category team and participate in different projects within your categories together with the stake holders.
• Become a change management and project management leader within the category

More specifically

• • Develop and execute a long term sourcing strategy delivering the required cost improvements and raising the customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend and establish appropriate contractual approaches towards suppliers, and being the end-responsible for supplier portfolio. Systematically assess supplier performance with the aim to optimize the number of suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, T & C (Terms & Conditions) Letter of intent
  • Act as a catalyst by facilitating open and effective communication with all stakeholders in the organization about the consequences of the sourcing strategy and the price/market development
  • Apply strong project management skills on agreed sourcing strategy development projects
  • Maintain and promote social, ethical and organizational standards.
  • Involve your internal customers of the supplier contracts and negotiations, and critically questioning the level of the demands of your internal customers.
  • Actively contributing to continuously purchasing processes improvement. (Risk management, pricing volatility, working capital, inventory, payment terms, …) on a project management based approach. (scoping, risk management, time-management)

Skills and experience:

• • You have a master degree in economics/business engineering or equivalent experience.
  • You are a junior or mid-senior professional who is passionate about purchasing and still want to learn on the job and become an expert
  • You are interested in the categories mentioned above are already had experience in 1 or more topics.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills tand are able to collaborate successfully with internal and external stakeholders, management and colleagues.
  • You are eager in achieving results (drive, resilience, and result oriented attitude) and willing to lead changes
  • You think out of the box and have a continuous learning attitude (tools, processes, ..)
  • You have strong negotiation skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You are fluent in English, Dutch is an absolute advantage, any other language is an asset
