Job Description

For our manufacturing site in Heist-op-den-Berg, we are currently looking for a

Cleaning Validation Engineer

Within our Pharmaceutical Technical Operations (PTO) department, a passionate team of scientists with in-depth technical knowledge and extensive experience, we develop and validate new pharmaceutical processes and products. In addition, we optimize existing processes and products and solve problems where necessary.

The Cleaning Validation Engineer is key in the development, validation and improvement of the cleaning processes for equipment and tools. The Validation Engineer specializes in different cleaning technologies across the whole spectrum from manual to automated cleaning.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a project leader for the realization of assigned validation projects;
  • Responsible for the introduction of new cleaning processes, including change control;
  • Implementation of process optimization and related projects;
  • Responsible for the execution of the periodic requalification plan to control the validated state;
  • Assist the Quality and Production Department in handling deviations and technical issues with cleaning processes
  • Implementation of validation systematics and the development of corresponding templates.
  • Coordinating the different activities together with validation, production and laboratories:
    • Making appointments with production and laboratories
    • Creation of LIMS requests
    • Execution of studies
    • Evaluation study data results
    • Providing urgent and acute assistance to IPTs to sample dirty equipment or exceeding holding times

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Higher Scientific Degree (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineer, Industrial Engineer, …).
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Validation and/or Project management;
    • Hands-on experience in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or laboratory environment;
    • Knowledge on operating principles of cleaning and CIP processes
    • Analytical mindset and Project-minded;
    • On-the-floor approach;
    • Customer focused;
    • Outstanding Influencing skills;
    • Process and data driven;
    • Fluency in both Dutch and English (verbal and written).
