Job Description
The main responsibility of the role is to understand, identify, drive, and manage efficiencies and cost improvement opportunities across the whole Inbound Solutions Supply Chain Network. It’s the controlling function for the supply chain.
Scope

• Annual cost Budget: 42M$
• Number of Countries: 7, scope Europe
• Number of Locations 15 locations, would increase to probably 18 within 12 months

Major/Key Accountabilities

Cost control, budget- and forecast management

• Active controlling of all the supply chain cost (subcontracted- and CHEP owned Plants, transport, planning)
• Budget & Forecast preparation for the Supply Chain together with all stakeholders
• Preparation, monitoring and improvement of all key cost drivers incl. Direct Costs, CAPEX.
• Identify cost savings measures within the Supply Chain.
• Monitoring and Control of the Supply Chain projects pipeline to assure the execution.
• Carry out Cost Analysis and identify ways of continuous improvement.
• Continuous creation and analysis of operative KPI’s within Supply Chain and cost savings measures.
• Generate monthly reports and conduct Cost Reviews with the Senior Director Supply Chain and the central- and local supply chain functions.
• Coordination / cooperation of different finance areas of input / output.
• Identify, analyse, implement, and control costs and savings initiatives and measure performance based on KPI-s.

Project/Programme Management

• Drive strategic costing program for the business unit
• Supply Chain Leadership training on SAP and SAP related procedures
• Plant controlling procedures/process and training to ensure compliance
• Validation of OPR, CAPEX investments and Final Financial numbers for Key Projects.
• Standardization of processes and cost structures at regional level.
• Support Supply Chain and Carrier Managers with analysis & data provision as required
• Manage the tariff change approval process for area of responsibility

Standardization of processes and cost structures at regional level.

• Supporting and implementation of Admin Best Practices & SOP around the network for the different countries.
• Preparation, monitoring and improvement of all key cost drivers incl. Direct Costs, CAPEX.
• Leadership of the collation of the KPI data. Supply chain KPI dashboard / Scorecard management.
• Admin responsibilities to monitor stocks, variance, SCRAP and all other movements through the network.
• Monitor /progress tracking for the BUP / WAVE initiatives.

Qualifications
Minimal bachelor’s degree in business administration/ economics with focus on Controlling or Logistics

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of working experience in the field of supply chain- or financial controlling function. Experience in Project Management, business, and systems analysis.
• Demonstrated experience of cross functional and multi-level interaction and working in a matrix organization.

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of the Budgeting process and CAPEX process
• Very good skills in SAP and MS-Office
• Distinctive numerical reasoning and analytical skills
