A day in the life of a Dev Engineer

  • Carrying out the test analysis (creating the test cases and test automation process) based on the (functional) system specifications and the test execution
  • Develop Test automation frameworks and Test scripts (Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, Gherkin, BDD)
  • Identify and manage Test data (SQL queries) or you create your own synthetic data
  • Develop Performance Testing script (JMeter/LoadRunner)
  • Track defects and don’t hesitate to raise impediment during daily meeting and work closely with the developer to fix it (ServiceNow/MS Azure)

  • We want to increase the level of test automation in our IT Area hence we are looking for someone with more than 3 years of experience in Test analysis and automation (analysing requirements, designing and automating test cases and a knowledge of BDD or TDD methodology)
  • Experience in the tools we use is important : Azure Test Plan, Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber and Postman
  • Effective communication is crucial for this role to clearly articulate test findings, provide constructive feedback, and advocate for quality
  • You are able to collaborate effectively ensuring that everyone is on the same page and that the testing process integrates smoothly with the overall development cycle

As a Dev Engineer in Test automation, you will have the opportunity to:

The team

We are a happy family of more than 100 engineers, located in Brussels, offshore (India) and Manilla.

Our team is working on the central customer database of ING Belgium. We are seen as an area where people are happy to collaborate, respectful and open to explore new things. We ensure to support each other to tackle challenges and reach ING’s goals together.
