A new opportunity has arisen to work for an innovative semiconductor start-up developing non-volatile memory that will remove the challenge of memory bottlenecks. They are developing Resistive Random Access Memory (RRAM) through a new type of Silicon Oxide Memristor. After receiving substantial financial backing to develop and commercialise their product they are on a challenging but highly exciting roadmap to change the world of computing.

We are looking for a Device Testing / Modelling Engineer with experience of working with electrical characterisation. The ideal candidate would have experience with non-volatile memory (NVM) devices or similar.

Device Characterisation Engineer

Location: Leuven, Brussels (some WFH flexibility)

Salary: Highly Negotiable depending on experience + Benefits / Stock Options

Job Responsibilities
  • Electrical characterisation of non-volatile memory (NVM) devices
  • Design of (semi)-automated characterisation tests
  • Data extraction, analysis and report generation
  • Development of device phenomenological behaviour based on empirical data
  • Development of compact circuit models based on empirical data
  • Development and optimisation of NVM operation procedures
  • Working with CTO, Process Engineer, IMEC R&D team and other team members to understand, optimise and improve the testing procedure and device performance
  • Analysis of device operation and failure models based on test results and design of possible failure mitigation strategies
Desirable Experience
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years of direct device and test engineering experience
  • Proficiency in programming and/or script language(s) (e.g. LabView, C/C++, Python)
  • Experience in NVM testing experience is highly desirable
  • Experience in handling large sets of data and statistical analysis
  • Experience in compact modelling (e.g. SPICE)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a hardworking, self-motivated and team player
