Function

In a strong team with broad experience that is eager to both share their knowledge and learn from you, as DevOps Engineer you enable the ’you build it you run it’ strategy for our development squads.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Enabling our agile developers by providing the necessary tooling and platforms to run their software in an automated and reliable way in the cloud and on premise;
  • Researching a broad variety of technologies and their integration within the microservice architecture;
  • Delivering proof of concepts and elaborate a step-by-step plan to deploy these technologies in other teams;
  • Setting up the Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipeline using technologies like GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD and Kubernetes;
  • Taking responsibility for the maintenance of shared ’middleware’ like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Prometheus,...
  • Work closely with the Java developers to continuously improve the systems and deliver support where needed. You love to debug the interesting issues nobody else can solve.

Profile

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent by relevant experience in software development or system administration. a decent knowledge of Java
  • Excellent knowledge of tools like Git, Jenkins and Kubernetes
  • Experience in devops automation
  • You strongly believe that you do it once manually, twice automated.
  • A can-do attitude
  • Excellent problem-solver skills
  • Teamplayer, you like pairing, code reviews,...

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in GitOps automation
  • Knowledge of Google GCP, Terraform, GitLab/Github, ArgoCD, ELK stack, Microservices, Kafka, Spring Boot, Linux, OAuth2, Progress OpenEdge, scripting knowledge (Groovy, python, bash,...)
