JOB SUMMARY
You, as digital marketing lead, will be involved in developing and implementing our local organization’s digital marketing strategies. Your role is to democratize and accelerate digital within the Belgian company and find efficiencies in digital workflows, campaigns and projects. The overall goal in this role is that you ensure, across our 6 Business Units, an optimal customer experience with the highest patient impact.
Your role will be to develop a local OnePfizer Digital Marketing plan aligned with the Business Unit’s priorities and execute this per plan with the existing and future Digital Marketing Team.
You should have a broad understanding of the digital landscape and develop a deep understanding of the different business units’ digital needs and unique challenges.
You will collaborate with all marketing and customer facing roles to rethink the digital strategy approach and provide direct support to them by implementing the said plans bringing customers interactions and internal capabilities to the next level and finally extend his/her knowledge to other departments such as Medical, Market Access, HR, etc…
You will connect/collaborate with the Digital Marketing Leads at a European level and leverage where appropriate their insights and initiatives, whilst leveraging Pfizer’s global Center of Excellence digital capabilities. You should feel comfortable to work in a cross-functional team environment / matrix organization. This role has the perspective in the near future to extend the current digital marketing team to accelerate the digital evolution at Pfizer Belgium and Luxembourg.
Digital strategy and capability building include amongst others SEO and SEM, web channels, email and social media marketing together with thinking on new creative and innovative ways of interacting with our customers while keeping patient centricity at the core of all activities.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the company’s online marketing capabilities in close collaboration with the Digital Steering committee and global Digital Centres of Excellence.
- Steer the investments in Pfizer’s digital channel portfolio.
- Set the strategic goals for digital marketing to provide best in class digital experience for patients and healthcare practitioners.
- Manage a coordinate the different Business Unit’s priorities with the help of a yearly Digital Marketing Plan, in a close collaboration and open conversation with the BU leads.
- Lead and direct digital marketing innovation within our local organization .
- Inspire and manage the Digital Marketing team.
- Shape the digital policy in the healthcare sector.
- Develop the strategy for all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.
- Provide direct support to all business units on digital strategy and tactics implementation. Design, build and maintain our social media presence.
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Keep abreast of digital trends and introduce new digital capabilities in the interest of healthcare providers and patients.
- Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
- Support acceleration of new capabilities, including digital and multichannel marketing.
Your competencies
- Strategic thinking to understand business needs and translate them into clearly defined digital marketing campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage different kind of conversations with a diversity internal stakeholders of all levels
- Drive mind-set change towards digital transformation amongst the pharmaceutical landscape.
- Be able to support the development and/or execution of a social media marketing plan.
- Be able to excel in a cross-functional team work environment
- Reporting, analysing, and providing actionable insights for internal teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
Your skills & experience
- Master in Marketing or equivalent by experience. Digital Marketing Certificates are desirable.
- Minimum 5 years proven working experience in Digital Marketing field.
- A first people management experience is recommended.
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture, Trends, …).
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Experience in setting up and optimising Google AdWords, Facebook and other on-line campaigns.
- End-to-end digital campaign management (planning, launch, ad testing, etc.).
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
- Fluency in Business English language and at least one local language (Dutch and French).
- Track record of working collaboratively/with others across functions.
- Create culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
