Introductie

Our client has one of the largest Oracle ERP footprints in Benelux. The ERP scope includes Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Project management & Risk & Compliance modules.
The Fusion Cloud Programme, Oracle’s newest ERP application, is a prestigious 3 year cloud transformation programme to transfer the ERP’s to Oracle Fusion Cloud, while changing as many process as possible into standard Oracle process. Our multi-year transformation programme consist of different phases.

The first phase of the programme has been completed in January 2021. The second and larger phase is planned to go live in July 2022.

The programme also includes additional projects (on top of the ERP transformation) such as Revenue Mgmt (to integrate billing solution with general ledger, IFRS 15 compliant) and Order Delivery (to integrate CRM solution with Supply Chain). An additional challenge in this exciting programme is the involvement of many third parties/systems (interfaces); such as e-invoicing solutions, planning systems, logistic partners, billing solutions, CRM system, retail systems … and many more.

You will be part of the PMO (project management office) and report to the Programme Director. The PMO also holds roles like Change & test manager; Release manager, Migration Manager, Cutover manager, PMO officer and coordinating our ERP system integrator.

The challenge is to be able to keep all the stakeholders both internal and external in line with the proposed deadlines and planning.

Functie

Plans, monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion, according to the departmental business objectives, translating these objectives into concrete deliverables.
Characteristics of these Projects are:
  • Experience in transformation or implementation of an ERP system is a benefit. Preferably Oracle ERP but similar experiences with other ERP systems or IT transformations is fine.
  • Experience in IT projects in the finance, procurement or supply chain area is a a benefit.
  • Specific knowledge of Oracle Fusion or any other Cloud system experience is considered a plus.
  • Experience with integrations, migrations between ERP systems and other third party and legacy systems.
  • Experience in working with different stakeholders and different implementation partners including offshore partners is important.
  • You’re able to help to organization to change, asses and steer possible impact on legacy systems, processes, organization and operations
The “normal” cross-functional delivery practices used for standard Projects are sufficient. The PM uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes. The PM manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Translate a scope into deliverables, solution and planning
  • Managing Project Delivery, steer cross-functional teams towards deliverables. Manage dependencies within the Project and with other initiatives.
  • Risk Management
  • Lead the project team to define different scenarios and solutions, taking into account multiple constraints and opinions/visions.
  • Stakeholder management (including change & conflict management, expectation mgmt. & alignment up to LT level)
  • Managing the Business case, Budget Management and Resourcing
Business Expertise
PM must understand the business, industry and corresponding technology. Besides Telecom knowledge, ICT knowledge is required as lot of projects need IT adaptations or are dealing with deploying of applications.
Knowledge must make it possible:
  • to identify impact and stakeholders in the organization,
  • to lead the teams to define and build optimal solutions taking into account different expectations,
  • to challenge each of the impacted teams, solutions & plans,
  • to identify dependencies and conflicts between different projects.
  • Experience of the entire project/application lifecycle, especially with regard to delivery, testing, default resolution and recognized development methodologies according to structured project management methodologies
  • Understanding of Financial, Supply Chain and Procurement processes
  • A good understanding of the company’s organization and corresponding roles is needed as projects have links and stakeholder involvement with finance, purchasing, business, legal, IT,…
Problem Solving
  • Must guide the teams to build possible options and scenario’s with respect to business case, technical solutions, Project approach etc. in situations with:
  • Known technology & business processes
  • Solutions must be build on assumptions, which can change.
  • Many conflicts of interests
  • High time pressure, high expectations to deliver very quickly.
  • Sparring partner for the key experts/professionals in the team and stakeholders. Particular work streams in the Project can be managed by an associate PM under the supervision of the Project Manager.

The following interpersonal skills are key at expert/ professional level.
  • Focus on getting things done.
  • The PM works together with the different business owners to achieve the goals.
