Make your mark for patientsWe are looking for a EU Launch and Assets Lead Rare mitochondrial Diseaseswho is passionate about customer journeys orchestration and expert in omnichannel strategy and operationalization to join us in our Rare Disease Organizationteam, based in our HQ in Brussels, Belgium (preferred) or other place in EU (e.g. Slough, UK or Monheim, Germany)About The RoleThe EU TK2D Asset & Launch Lead is responsible for supporting the successful launch and implementation of the patient value brand plan (PVBP) for the RDO portfolio within EU. The activities and implementation can be either locally initiation and/or implemented as part of the EU and global RDO organization.The RDO’s focus is to launch a treatment for an ultra-rare mitochondrial disease Thymidine kinase 2 deficiency (TK2D).Who You’ll Work WithThis role will be required to work internally with cross functional colleagues within EU in RDO and broader UCB organisation including but not limited to sales, medical, market access, patient engagement, compliance etc. They will also be required to build trusted partner relationships with external stakeholders including HCP’s, payers, and regional organisations.The EU TK2D Asset & Launch Lead will report to Head of European Assets & Brands Strategy, RDOWhat You’ll DoKey Activities & Deliverables:
  • Develop and lead the cross functional launch Patient Value Brand Plan (PVBP) for the RDO assets within the EU
  • Provide an EU perspective for key marketing and launch decisions to ensure successful commercialisation, execution of key initiatives and alignment with the EU and global RDO
  • Drive key initiatives, such as patient diagnosis and genetic testing, and partner with global/countries/medical affairs in market development / launch preparation efforts
  • Provide commercial input to unmet needs, target product profile, market assessment and forecasting, patient journey, competitive landscape, and staying abreast of market dynamics and the shifting treatment landscape to adapt marketing strategies within the EU RDO
  • Utilize external partners (HCP, patient associations, regulatory and access bodies) to build and develop comprehensive understanding of market insights to drive an optimal launch environment
  • Partner with patient engagement to identify and implement meaningful patient value solutions to support patients living with rare diseases
  • Work in close collaboration with medical to plan and build KOL initiatives/relationships to drive advocacy and build trust as UCB as a rare disease partner of choice
  • Support the RDO to develop and implement a patient support programme (as needed), engaging with the relevant internal and external stakeholders to support patients living with rare diseases
  • Implement key EU/global RDO marketing campaigns for disease awareness, promotional campaign, events & training to support launch success
  • Be an active member of the EU and Global Assets network to proactively share launch learnings, country insights to help shape and refine Global and EU strategies/projects.
  • Proactively partner with EU and Global colleagues to co create projects that add value to patients living with rare diseases
  • Support RDO to drive the use of a broad range of different channels to optimize omnichannel strategies, planning and solution development to support HCP and patient engagement
  • Identify and implement competitor defence strategies in collaboration with the defined region and EU/Global RDO
  • Working with the Head of European Assets & Brands Strategy to design and deliver against launch metrics (KPI’s) to track and monitor progress against plans
  • Support the Head of European Assets & Brands Strategy with broader commercial initiatives including brand forecasting, market share, ATU market planning and OPEX management
  • Engage and manage external agencies/vendors to successfully implement initiatives within budget and agreed timelines to support launch
Safety obligations (Pharmacovigilence)
  • Actively collaborates with local Safety staff to ensure a pharmacovigilance compliance for those activities that require involvement, guidance and support from LSO and Deputy.
  • Communicates any digital initiative, Patient Support Programs or Market Research Programs to be implemented at the affiliates level, to local Safety staff.
  • As member of the affiliate, part of Pharmacovigilance system, during the audits/inspection, participates actively and contributes to the successful outcome if they are required.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the followingeducation, experienceandskills
  • Bachelors’ degree in life sciences, business or healthcare required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in brand/commercial roles in rare diseases, ultra-rare. Preferred experience in genetic rare diseases
  • Experience of launching orphan drugs in rare disease environment within Europe
  • Experience above country preferred
  • Experience in driving patient identification iniatives
  • Minimum 7 years in stakeholder facing roles in speciality or rare diseases
  • Successful track record of sales, ideally within speciality or rare diseases
  • Demonstrated strength in business planning, tactical plan development and execution
  • Demonstrated experience of identifying and implementing meaning solutions for patients
  • Extensive and up to date knowledge of defined region market access/ HTA landscape
  • Experience of leading and managing cross functional teams or matrix management collaboration
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
  • Fluent in English
  • Energetic & Passionate about patients
  • Strong project management skills & Insight, solution, and action orientated
