We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on and analytical General Ledger Accountant to temporarily support the Group Accounting Team. This role is participating in different General Ledger postings and executing the month-end and year-end close controls and processes across multiple entities within the group to ensure accurate Financial Reporting.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on and analytical General Ledger Accountant to temporarily support the Group Accounting Team. This role is participating in different General Ledger postings and executing the month-end and year-end close controls and processes across multiple entities within the group to ensure accurate Financial Reporting.

The assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple entities in accordance with local GAAP.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support business decisions.

Required knowledge and skills

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of BEGAAP.
  • Experience with SAP S4HANA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to check your own work.
  • Proficiency in Dutch or the ability to work in a Dutch-speaking environment is preferable.
