Robert Half is currently looking for a Finance & Administrative Officer.

Our client is located in the center of Brussels and is thus easily accessible with public transportation.

Our client is a non-profit international organisation.

As Finance & Administrative Officer,your responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Ensure monthly analytical accounting is done properly: create, register and disseminate to correct recipients all outgoing invoices, expense declarations etc…;
  • Prepare accounts for processing by externally contracted accountant (monthly);
  • Annual closing account: prepare all documentation necessary for the annual audit and work closely together with external auditor, and external accountant;
  • Ensure daily administrative management of the office and assist in resolving day-to-day problems;
  • Oversee contacts with local suppliers, procurements and invoicing;
  • Arrange for any maintenance work that needs to be carried out in the office;
  • Overseeing the rental contract of the office and liaising with the building owners;
  • Ensure logistical support for meetings, activities and training;
  • Provide IT support to colleagues, liaise with Brussels-based IT consultant and WVI IT team.
  • Support to the Senior HR and Administrative Officer when required.

The requested qualifications for this Finance & Administrative Officerposition include:

  • You have ideally a Bachelor degree in Business administration, Finance, International Development or a related field
  • You have a at least 2 years of experience in a similar function
  • You have well-developed administrative and computer skills, including good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel),
  • You have a perfect level of English and French, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
  • You have outstanding organisational skills, and the ability to manage own time and to work to deadlines;
  • You have a team-oriented approach and are able to work collaboratively with colleagues;
  • You have the ability to act with integrity, demonstrating sound ethical principles;
