Job Description


This is a key finance leader role for Performance Tapes Europe business with operations in Turnhout and Soignies in Belgium, and outsourcing partners in Europe. The role reports into the Vice President Finance, Industrial and Healthcare Materials with a dotted line to the VP General Manager, Performance Tapes Europe and Worldwide Tapes. The Finance Director for the Performance Tapes Europe business has a broad cross-functional role that spans the entire organization with strong links to commercial and operations. The finance leader is the principal business and finance partner to the VP General Manager of this business. As an important member of the Performance Tapes EU leadership team, the finance leader supports the strategic direction and growth of the business, leads the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process, and directs the regular business processes of the finance team. The role will have 3 direct reports located in Turnhout.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct ownership of the Performance Tapes EU business strategic plan process, AOP process, month-end / quarter-end financial reporting, and periodic forecasting
  • Direct the Performance Tapes EU accounting and finance team in the execution of their regular duties for closing, consolidation, and reporting
  • Maintain a strong controllership environment across the business, with support from the shared service centers
  • Manage, strengthen, and organize a skilled dynamic cross-functional finance team
  • Partner with VP GM and PTEU leadership team, improve insights, drive profitable growth and value creation
  • Partner across all the functions to drive working capital efficiency and Free Cash Flow for the business.
  • Lead the Performance Tapes EU AOP, and support the business Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) process
  • Ensure accurate forecasts and reporting, providing analysis which successfully drives the achievement of business goals including the implementation of business profitability tools.
  • Manage the business’ spending and capital expense budgets
  • Establish strong relationships with your peer group of regional finance leads, the shared service centers in Cork, Ireland and represent Performance Tapes EU on the IHM Finance leadership team
  • Drive and support the Turnhout expansion project, including new coater investment
  • Participate in M&A projects

Qualifications
  • 5- to 7- years of financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years supporting a full P&L and business
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required, CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Able to operate within a multinational matrix organization
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Creative/innovative/strategic thinker
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel and Google, experience with Oracle and Hyperion preferred
  • High level of commitment to teamwork in a high performance and demanding environment
