Decospan is an international manufacturer of veneered wood products. The company has 2 Business Units: BU Veneer Products (150 mio €) and BU Wood Flooring (50 mio €). The production facilities are situated in Europe (Belgium, France, Portugal, Croatia, and Czech Republic) and sales offices are situated across the world.

As Senior Finance Manager, reporting to our CFO, you play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the financial operations of Decospan. You’re responsible for ensuring financial integrity and providing strategic financial insights - contributing to overall business success.

In an initial phase you are end responisble for implementing our new ERP system and processes (Finance module) throughout the Decospan group of companies. After successful implementation, the role evolves towards:

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and maintain robust financial models to support business planning and decision-making, Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks, Collaborate with the business units to create annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Deliverables are providing timely variance analysis against budgeted and forecasted financials.
• Financial reporting & Compliance :Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations and Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Deliverables are Contribution to strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis and Regular tracking and reporting of key cost metrics.
• Risk Management : Identify and assess financial risks, proposing effective mitigation strategies, Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures, implementing improvements as necessary and Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact the company. Deliverables are Successful implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
• Continuous improvement - Process Optimization :Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and implement improvements to streamline workflows, Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reevaluate and enhance end-to-end financial procedures.
• Continuous improvement - Technology Integration:Explore opportunities to leverage technology for automation and efficiency gains in financial processes, Evaluate and implement cutting-edge financial software solutions to enhance data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and decision-making and Ensure the integration of technology aligns with the company’s overall digital transformation strategy.
• Continuous improvement - Training and Development :Establish training programs to enhance the financial acumen of relevant staff (finance for non-financials)
• ESG Contribution: Compliancy in all deliverables, Sustainability (Explore opportunities for integrating sustainability practices within financial processes, such as reducing paper usage, optimizing energy consumption, or supporting environmentally responsible investments.)
