We are looking for a highly experienced Freight Forwarding Manager to join our Europa Team in Ostend!

You must have at least 3 years of experience within a Freight Forwarding management role.

The working hours for this role are 9am-5:30pm and the team is based at our office in Ostend.

Our Ideal Person:

· 5+ years of Freight Forwarding experience, 3+ years in a management position.

· Good focus and attention to detail

· Ability to manage a growing team

· Aware of relevant customs processes

· Commercially aware

· Capable of growing and driving the department

· Analytical skills

Main responsibilities:

· Work alongside the Operational Management to out-source loads which can’t be covered on our own fleet and buy in loads when required to optimise own fleet.

· Responsible for controlling the balance of equipment on each route

· Creating a capacity of loads above own kit for the business to grow into

· Provide competitive pricing from the market

· Arrange transportation via booking confirmation

· Manage day to day issues in an efficient & professional manner

· Comply with Customs processes

· Proactively source new suppliers

· Report any issues / delays in a timely manner to shipment stakeholders

· Manage administrative duties efficiently
