For one of our clients, HAYS is looking for a GL Accountant.


About the role

As a GL Accountant, active in the transport industry, you will be responsible for the complete bookkeeping of your assigned company. You will be preparing monthly and annual financial closings, reconciling accounting and operational processes, and ensuring accuracy and completeness. You will also work closely with controlling and local teams to follow up on costs, accruals, and provisions.


Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct Balance Sheet analysis and monthly reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal and group reporting
  • Participate in the yearly budgeting process
  • Assist in the yearly external audit process


Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Accounting
  • Strong analytical skills and accuracy
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of balance sheet, IFRS, and reconciliations
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Strong team player with a desire to work in an international environment
