The L&D manager will further the broad understanding of development planning and coaching processes to ensure clear accountabilities and execution of individual development plans.
Because learning programs are relatively new at Griffith Foods, in an effort to build a learning organization, the L&D Manager will lead the effort to shift away from siloed learning initiatives in favor of building cohesive, holistic, scalable learning programs that account for key roles and initiatives across the company to drive our cultural transformation. Programs will include but are not limited to: Purpose Journey, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIBs), Valued Behaviors, leadership development, soft skills, technical training, fostering innovation, project and program management, and company-/industry-/function-/discipline-specific development opportunities targeted to grow, engage, and retain our talent to enhance employee fulfillment and sense of belonging through the lens of purpose.
We are looking for an innovative, dedicated, and analytic L&D Manager to own end-to-end learning and curriculum management for new and existing learning programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of innate curiosity and proven expertise in the instructional design, development, and delivery of innovative learning programs at scale. A demonstrated track record in exceptional multi-platform facilitation skills is required. Proficiency with data gathering, analysis, and presentation of insights is critical. Additionally, this role requires continuous inspection of program effectiveness and identification of opportunities to drive impact.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with people leaders, functional experts, individual contributors, and HR Business Partners globally to conduct comprehensive needs analyses on a continuous basis, recognize emerging patterns, and provide recommendations to address gaps and/or potential opportunities.
- Research and implement cutting edge best practices in instructional technology, tools and approaches.
- Design high-impact programs from end-to-end by creating clear project plans and managing successful execution.
- Develop appropriate learning materials including case studies, simulations, workbooks, eLearning courses and learning plans in our LMS, etc.
- Leverage change management methodologies to ensure global program adoption.
- Report on results and return on investment (ROI) of training and identify key insights to inform future actions and decision making.
- Continuously assess and evolve programs based on feedback and metrics.
- Facilitate engaging and effective training workshops both virtually and in-person in the future when permitted.
- Ensure all program content and materials are kept up to date, relevant and aligned to our business strategy.
- Drive engagement, fulfillment and development at all levels of the organization, and foster an environment of continuous learning to encourage career growth, alignment to purpose and succession readiness.
- Ensure that all learning programs are appropriately localized, translated (where necessary), and tailored in their implementation to specific global markets and diverse functions.
- Define budget requirements to meet training objectives; tracks training costs for the company and serve as primary relationship owner with vendors.
- Create and own L&D governance model and ensuring adherence to key roles and responsibilities.
Requirements & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field.
- 10+ years professional L&D experience including needs analysis, instructional design, facilitation, program management, and measurement of large-scale programs.
- 5+ years’ proven project management skills including planning work, prioritizing and managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, time management, and delivering results with tight deadlines.
- Experience managing courses, learning plans, and reports in a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Track record of successfully designing, developing, and delivering high-impact development programs to a global audience using a variety of techniques (e.g., instructor-led workshops, self-paced online courses and/or videos, on-the-job training, and simulations).
- Proven ability to influence without authority, motivate cross-functional teams, and self-start.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills paired with sound business judgment and ability to see around corners.
- Experience measuring program impact against pre-defined success metrics.
- Proven ability to employ data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Passion and interest in developing all levels across an organization and inspiring others to realize their individual purpose and potential.
