The Head of Intelligent Asset Platform defines the vision and the strategy of his/her platform applying a lighter product management discipline with the Product Groups as the platform’s value recipients are the Product Groups.
S/he ensures that the platform rapidly delivers its intended value propositions for the Product Groups and continuously improves it over time, taking into account technology advances and best in class practices for IT industrialization.

The minimum goals are:
  • Maximize the automation, while enabling security and compliance by design.
  • Drive IT/OT convergence to secure fluid and agile delivery for plants
  • Secure best-in class operations for industrial assets (asset inventory, security, changes, …)
  • Provide expertise and resources for major industrial and lab transformation programs

The Intelligent Asset platform will regroup following activities:
  • MES (Manufacturing Execution System): Design, delivery and operations of MES systems in plants, including configuration for reporting and data visualization.
  • Laboratories: Design, delivery and operations for all infrastructure components supporting lab activities, and connected research product journey (data storage, High Performance Computing, hosting, connectivity…)
  • IoT: Design, delivery and operations of Solvay IoT platforms, in connection with the industrial ecosystem. This includes development, application support and securitization as per Group Security guidelines. Deployment of IoT sensors leveraging new technologies and dedicated networks (5G, LoraWan, SigFox…)
  • Industrial: Design and build of Manufacturing 4.0 capabilities to support Digital operations

Key Outputs
Platform vision and strategy – Light Product Management with Product Groups as key value recipients
Platform Value delivery plan - Light Product Management with Product Groups as key value recipients and other Platforms depending of the value stacks of the Product Groups and these Platforms
Platform value delivery – Provide & maintain a productive and stable solution delivery platform.
Architecture implementation - Lead the implementation and integration of the value propositions and the technical solutions and architecture for a platform based on products and platform strategy, capabilities and requirements
Standardization and industrialization – accountable of standardized technological solutions/components that promote re-use and efficiencies for all product group delivery teams and as defined in product stacks other Platforms
Technology monitoring - Analyze the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential benefit for the internal delivery platform(s) next iteration of vision and strategy.
