In the Monomers Division, we develop and produce isocyanates and polyamides for applications in the automotive, construction and packaging industries. High-quality basic chemicals and inorganic specialities are also in our portfolio. With production sites all over the world, we help our customers to meet their demand for sustainable and competitive materials.




ResponsibilitiesBecome part of our CMS/S Sustainability unit. For this position adelegation to BASF Waterloo is possible.These are your tasks:
  • As Head of Sustainability Strategy, you will implement, track and update the CM sustainability roadmap and related KPIs.
  • You will coordinate CM’s SMA planning process and CM’s circular raw material demand forecasts.
  • Futhermore, you will host and lead the CM audit and sustainability communities, plan and support communication regarding sustainability, as well as update the respective websites and customer presentations.
  • You will support CM colleagues in their site and product certifications for circular feedstocks as well as support CM’s sales teams with customer presentations on sustainability-related topics.
  • In addition, you will provide training, support, and guidance on sustainability matters to the business management and sales community.
  • You will analyze legislation as well as market trends (focus region: Europe), develop proposals how to adapt CM’s sustainability approach.
  • For BASF’s sustainability-related topics and communities, you will be the CM representative and point-of-contact.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree in Science, Engineering or a related field of studies
  • At least five years of professional experience in multinational companies, with experience and profound knowledge in sustainability, advocacy, strategy, marketing or business management
  • Strategic thinking with very good conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies
  • strong communication skills, ability to present sustainability topics to customers as well as BASF business, technology and production units
  • Strong networker and team player, excellent stakeholder management and intercultural awareness
  • Fluent in English, German a plus
