Position Summary
The HR Generalist is accountable for implementing HR strategies to support delivery of the business objectives. This includes continuing to develop a culture based on the 4is and continuous improvement, and to provide a comprehensive day-to-day operational HR service to Managers and employees at office and in the field. The role is also accountable for identifying and developing existing HR policies and processes to improve efficiency/effectiveness and ensure compliance with best practice and legislation.
Essential Tasks And Responsibilities
- Implement HR strategies, in collaboration with Business Leaders, to meet the business needs, including recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and succession planning.
- Support organizational development and change management across the business. This includes being actively involved with PPI initiatives.
- Support Managers to facilitate effective leadership, planning, team engagement.
- Support Managers in the development of leadership and people management skills through coaching, engagement and development interventions, as appropriate.
- Support implementation and maintenance of HR policies, instruments, procedures, in line with Corporate and Country guidelines and harmonization requirements.
- Supports HR Manager in Employee Relation (Works Councils, Unions) management.
- Support Managers to effectively communicate and engage with employees including using feedback from the Employee Surveys to promote a positive working culture.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly and quarterly reporting on HR metrics, especially Headcount figures.
- Support coordination of training needs analysis and implementation to ensure training and development interventions are prioritized to meet key business objectives within budget requirements.
- Actively participate in Country / Regional HR Meetings and projects, to share best practices and contribute to the improvement and development of Country wide HR policies and processes harmonization.
- Collaborate with Payroll & HR Administration teams in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing and compliant HR Administration regarding labor law, social security and pension regulations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an international Human Resources working environment
- Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a nice to have.
- Maintain a positive result oriented attitude that promotes collaboration with different functional levels
- Must have strong communication skills including listening, verbal and written.
- Flexible, adjust readily to new situations and driver of change.
- Strong customer focus with proven service oriented attitude under all situations.
- Strong negotiation skills, experience in union collaboration.
