Implementation Engineer needed in our

AGV Europe team

The Automated Guided Vehicle systems and automated industry is a thriving, rapidly expanding industry. John Bean Technologies Corporation Ltd are constantly looking to grow and develop their projects and after sales service in all areas of the business and to support this growth we are looking for an Implementation Engineer to join our team.

We seek a multi-disciplined engineer with a proven record of commissioning systems within project constraints and financial budgets. Ideally you will be bachelor qualified in a mechanical, electrical, electronical or software related discipline and have around 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

We successfully provide a unique service to our clients and your role will work on projects across Europe, with occasional travel around the globe. This means that we need someone who is super flexible and enjoys travelling which can be between 70-90% of the time - typically, the role does not include weekend work; however, this may be required from time to time. Whether you are working from our offices, from home or out in the field you will receive first class support and back up.

This role would ideally be suited to an engineer who enjoys the sense of achievement connected to working on a project basis, who is looking for a new challenge and to build upon their experience. As Implementation Engineer you will design systems to meet customer needs, facilitating the successful completion of an automated material handling system, install, test and debug the system whilst also modifying equipment and software. Your role will entail lots of troubleshooting, determining what resources you need to resolve any electrical, mechanical and/or software problems. You will make software and hardware adjustments and train our customers to use the equipment. You will be equipped with a laptop and mobile phone and a company car.

Responsibilities

This role is best suited to a multidiscipline engineer with a thirst for learning.We would like to see the following on your resume ideally ..

• Bachelors of Science degree (B.S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university. Degree may be in any of the multiple disciplines of Engineering including Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, Mechatronic, etc.
• That you have had to write reports, business correspondence, in your role
• That you can present information clearly and respond to questions internally and externally
• English is really important as a language at JBT and all other additional languages are a bonus – our team speak English / French / Dutch and German
• We need you to have a valid driver’s license
  

Computer Software/Applications -That you have a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook - Basic database querying / editing (e.g. Access, SQL, etc) - Basic knowledge AutoCad - Programming concepts / Script Languages - Ability to learn and understand bespoke applications quickly.

Electrical -Fault find on DC circuits (sensors, transducers, motor controllers etc) - Understand electrical wiring schematics - Implement small changes/ additions to existing circuits.

Networking -An understanding of wired and wireless networks would be useful - Wireless security standards understanding - Fault finding techniques - VPN usage

Mechanical -Basic bench fitting skills - Understand and follow mechanical assembly drawings - Mechanical fault finding

Hydraulics / Pneumatics -Basic understanding of hydraulics / pneumatics and the components related to them - Ability to follow simple circuit diagrams

Please note that if you have some of the above and not all the skills in all the areas but a thirst for learning then we can train the gaps that you have! However, you will work in a customer facing environment so you must be confident, presentable and a good communicator with the ability to problem solve and work in challenging situations, while ensuring safety for you and our client.
