Your role:

As an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer, your responsibilities include:

(Re)design electro/mechanical part of machines, production lines and logistic systems
Take charge of the hardware: pneumatics, robots, pick & places, motors…
Supervise implementation and start-up of new machines
Current equipment assessment
Help our clients choose the right technology with technology scans
Analysis of break downs
Develop new or improve existing reporting tools
Take the lead in implementing new technologies (industry 4.0)
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Your profile:

Master of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering or equivalent due to experience.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in automation
Fluent in English, and Dutch or French
Knowledge of
- Pick-place systems, pneumatics, actuators, feeding systems, conveying systems, packaging systems…
- Robotics, collaborative robotics
- Safety systems
- Sensors, vision systems
- MES programs
- Logistics
- Basics of PLC’s/SCADA/ERP systems
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, SPC, Six Sigma, production techniques, 8D problem solving techniques and Project management is a plus
Excellent analytical skills and outside-of- the-box-thinking
Well aware of and interested in Industry 4.0
