Project Engineer Automation

Desotec’s mission is to protect our planet. We provide end-to-end purification solutions for pollution in air, water and other gases and liquids. We do this by supplying mobile activated carbon filters to our B2B customers all over Europe. We recycle our own saturated filters by taking back the spent activated carbon for reactivation, making our filter solutions circular.

Due to our exponential growth we want to strengthen our Warrior team with a Project Engineer Automation.

As a project engineer you will join an existing team that is not only responsible for the concrete implementation of new projects, machines and installations, but also for the optimisation and improvement of existing production installations. These installations are currently located at our production sites in Roeselare.

From the start of a project you are involved in purchase, basic and detailed engineering, execution of the project, control of delivered materials and/or services, supervision, follow-up and start-up. You will have the necessary support of the team.

  • You are responsible for the design, the purchase and the programming of future furnaces
  • During the course of the project, you manage planning, deadlines and budget
  • Based on the needs, you select and manage external partners/ subcontractors
  • You will work mostly in the HQ in Roeselare, and have the possibility to occasionally work from home
  • You keep careful administrative records, create technical files, manuals and CE files
  • You will use Navision to ceate a clear overview of the project costs per executed project

Profile

  • You have a Master’s in Industrial Science (in electromechanics or automation)
  • 5 years of experience, including 3 years of automation project experience is required, preferably in large industrial companies
  • Experience with PLC programming
  • Knowledge of software often used by engineers (Excel, MS Project, drawing package, ...) is necessary, knowledge of Navision/SAP/ERP is an advantage
  • You have a sense of responsibility
  • You speak French perfectly and you are proficient in spoken and written English
  • You can work independently, but also in team
