Job Description

We are looking for an engineer with a strong technical background in the field of bio-instrumentation development with deep hands-on experience in hardware implementation and software programming in electromechanical and optomechanical systems for life sciences applications. We are looking for an experienced engineer who is highly motivated to work in a lab environment on a daily basis together with our design engineers and application scientists.

The assignment

  • Design and build laboratory test setups for life science R&D purposes. The setup often includes one or more fluidic, electrical, optical and electromechanical components.
  • Control and automate laboratory test setups by software programming, e.g. PC-program (typically LabVIEW), FPGA/DSP or ASIC.
  • Design and build HW-SW embedded prototype systems for off-site uses or demonstrations.
  • Interface with external vendors for selection of components or procurement of customized parts.
  • Provide trouble-shooting and debugging support for internal users.

Candidate Description

  • Your Labview expertise is at level CLAD (Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer).
  • You have significant experience in application, use, and programming of National Instruments LabVIEW.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of real-time controls hardware and timing systems: (Connecting Hardware: Sensors, DAQ, Devices under test (DUT). Acquiring and validating a signal. Creating continuous HW acquisition or generation loops. Image grabbing and processing).
  • You have experience in embedded software development and signal processing.
  • You are well-versed with programming, troubleshooting and debugging for various applications.
