Overview:

We are seeking an innovative and creative Intern –Frame Work Developmentwho is ready for the challenges, responsibilities, and rewards that come with working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. ST Engineering iDirect is dedicated to providing next generation solutions for broadband IP networking via satellite networks. As the leading innovators in this new space, our diverse and talented team of internet, satellite, and telecommunications professionals continues to break new ground and create significant opportunities for network operators, for service providers/resellers, and for corporate networking professionals.

Responsibilities:

As our Intern, you will:

  • Help with adding new features to our RedPanda – Py3 framework
  • Implement the final solution on these features
  • Make a coupling between the framework and Jenkins to automate some of the tests
  • Not get coffee or make copies for your colleagues, but take home some valuable experiences
  • Work on conceptual, creative and hands-on level
  • Be entitled to frequent and honest feedback
  • Proactively entice us with your creative ideas
Qualifications:

As a prerequisite to become our intern, you:

  • Work towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a computer science related field
  • Are used to working with Linux
  • Have a first experience with a programming language and build tooling (i.e. preferable, Python 3, jenkins)
  • Are conversational in English
  • Can commit for a period of no less than 6 weeks
  • Are currently pursuing a degree of which the curriculum allows/obliges you to do an internship
  • Are a European passport holder


Once on board you will:

  • Be part of Device Software team based in our European Labs in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium)
  • Shape your internship based on your personal methodology and tools of interest.
  • Work closely with a team of around 7 experienced satellite communication professionals, be provided with the necessary tools and have a dedicated coach assigned to assist you
  • Have the opportunity to potentially combine your internship with a summer job
