The facility, located 30 km east from Brussels, is the Bosch knowledge and development center for wiper blade processes and products: rubber processing (compounding, coating, injection molding and extrusion), painting technology, and assembly technologies for different types of wiper blades.
The Group of "Platform and variant developmen aftermarket" is responsible for the development of new wiper blade technologies, new packaging for wiper blades, adapting existing programs to the market needs (new connections)
and introducing new wiper blade innovations into the aftermarket. As lead development for aftermarket worldwide we are working in close cooperation with the development departments in the plants in Serbia and China.
Cost, quality and timing are the KPI’s we need to achieve in our projects.
Job Description
You will support in the jet wiper aero project the team to set up a root cause analysis for "overspray". Overspray means that water droplets are coming loose from the wiper blade during driving and splash on the windscreen.
This is disturbing for the driver if these droplets appear in the vision area.
You will collect data from tests that are already done and set up a structured root cause analysis by use of a fishbone diagram or other problem solving method.
You will coordinate new sample making and set up and participate in tests.
For this you will also need to work together with other departments like the sample shop, test department and with the design team.
If needed you get in contact with external companies to get more knowledge in the behaviour of the water flow.
Qualifications
Student in the areas of engineering (Bachelor / Master)
Preferable you have knowledge of fluidomechanics and/or aerodynamics.
Good MS Office skills
Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
Good communication skills, team-oriented and sense for responsibility
Eager to learn, take initiative and work independently.
Hands on with good problem solving skills
Intercultural awareness and understanding
The internship requires that you have the nationality of a EU-country or that you are taking part in the Erasmus- or Leonardo program.
The duration of the internship will be 6 months.
The internship need to start in november 2021.
Additional Information
You will gain your first professional experience within the framework of an internship in the fields of a production department with a high degree of independent work.
