Job Description


The IR associate will be a critical part of the IR and broader Group Finance team. He/she will support the Head of Investor Relations in the regular interface with external stakeholders, with the expectation that the IR associate will be able to take on increasing communication and relationship coverage over time.

The IR associate will also support the IR team in the effective execution of all other IR functions including, but not limited to, industry analysis and peer group review, co-ordination with all relevant internal and external stakeholders of materials for regular and ad-hoc publications, management of key IR tools and databases, monitoring of applicable regulations to ensure the Company’s compliance at all times, and organisation of investor events in collaboration with the IR team assistant.

The candidate will also focus on ESG disclosure and engaging with ESG ratings agencies. The wide remit of the role requires working closely with various internal teams such as treasury, marketing, legal, M&A, accounting and controlling, as well as operational teams and top management, pulling together all necessary resources to ensure cohesive, seamless IR platform.

One of the critical roles of the IR associate will be to provide editing and proof-reading support to the Head of IR, to ensure consistency and accuracy in all communication documents.

A critical eye for detail is therefore paramount for this role, as well as strong organisational skills. Furthermore, a strong command of finance and basic accounting skills are required.

ROLE & OBJECTIVES:

Detailed description of the tasks of an IR associate as follows:

  • Liaison with external community (private shareholders, journalists, analysts, brokers, investors);
  • Liaison with ESG ratings agencies and Sustainability team to improve the Group’s disclosure and overall ratings;
  • Industry/Peer Group review and analysis;
  • Follow up of legal and regulatory developments in Luxembourg and France;
  • Global maintenance of IR section of Eurofins websites;
  • Preparation, proof-reading, publication, distribution and storage of regulated information via different communication tools.

o Ongoing Information / Events affecting the Shareholder Structure

o Other Regulated Disclosures :

  • Events coordination, logistics and attendance;
  • Maintenance of IR database;
  • Monitoring and update Eurofins data on financial and stock information websites;
  • Drafting press releases;
  • Management of Eurofins documents for internal use;
  • Upkeep of IR Manual and Internal procedures;
  • Coordination and preparation of AGM (with Treasury & Legal);
  • Actual publication of documents according to technical and legal procedure.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must have university degree preferably in finance or accounting-related field, with 4-6 years working experience;
  • Should be numerate and able to understand and interpret financial figures. Background as a financial analyst (sell-side or buy-side) or credit analyst in the banking industry would be a plus.
  • He/she should have impeccable interpersonal skills - natural and confident with a willingness to work in a team.
  • He/she should have strong project management skills and ability to effectively cope in stressful situations;
  • Complete proficiency in MS office is a must.
  • Perfect knowledge of English (written & spoken) required.

Additional Information


The IR associate will gain in-depth exposure to various finance and legal functions, as well as the broader capital markets. The role will be fast paced and in a growth environment. In time, a successful candidate may choose to specialise further within the Investor Relations team, or there will undoubtedly be a range of further roles within corporate finance, M&A and the Group more broadly.
