Cowboy is growing rapidly as we launch our product internationally and scale the team in all areas. To support that growth, we’re looking for an organized and enthusiastic individual to join us as Junior Finance Associate. This is an excellent opportunity to make a huge contribution to the Finance function at Cowboy. Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Performing day-to-day accounting operations to a high degree of accuracy and speed.
  • Bank accounts & Payment Gateways reconciliations
  • Upload AP invoices in the system
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable ensuring timeliness, the accuracy of information
  • Issue and book Manual credit notes in Odoo
  • Managing supplier’s & internal employee expenses
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Support month-end closing activities
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual audit;
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with Belgian Gaap
  • Assist with accounting project
  • Handling ad-hoc requests as needed.

Requirements
  • 1 or 2 years experience as Accountant, Finance Assistant, Finance Officer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • Good understanding of payables, payments reconciliation, and ERP data entry
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good with numbers and figures
  • Good team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Eager to learn and develop their career in a start-up
