Tasks and responsibilities
  • You will prepare and execute wet lab experiments as described in the corresponding SOPs
  • You will report the results to the supervising project manager or scientist
  • You will take up your responsibility as an instrument responsible
  • You will support the lab by taking up ownership and responsibilities in general lab activities (e.g. stock management, maintenance & aliquoting, sample management, waste management, … )
  • You will ensure proper record keeping during all aspects of your activities and guarantee complete traceability by making adequate and timely registrations
  • You will support the scientist team on a practical manner during troubleshooting, change control and the execution of validations
  • You will support the team in SOP writing and SOP review
Competences and skills
  • Qualifications/Education & work experience
    • Degree of professional bachelor in biomedical laboratory technology / biotechnology or equivalent
    • Excellent and smooth pipetting skills using single and multichannel pipettes
    • Hands on experience and basic scientific knowledge of
      • RNA or DNA extractions
      • RNA QC/conc. measurements
      • RT (q)PCR
    • Expertise in digital PCR, Next Generation Sequencing or Cell culture based activities is a bonus
    • A natural talent or additional degree in the field of (bio) informatics creates additional opportunities and will be highly appreciated

    • Excellent communication skills – fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
    • Proficiency in MS office
