Get to know an international player in the field of energy supply.

For a temporary and advisory assignment we are looking for a Legal Counsel (EN/FR) who would like to advise the Finance Department on a part-time basis.

Description

Within the Credit division of the Finance division of the Liability branch, you will monitor and manage:

  • about fifty litigation files; the management of litigation files covers all European sales in the liability branch
  • about fifteen credit insurance policies; the management of credit insurance policies covers the entire scope of the liability branch (Europe, US, Middle East and Asia)
  • occasionally, analysis and legal support assignments for specific projects or advice concerning sales or bankruptcies.

Activities:

Under the authority of the department head and in close collaboration with the legal department of the liability division, this assignment includes:

  • Manage relations with insurance companies, in particular in the context of the supervision and renewal of credit insurance policies, contractual obligations concerning declaration and claim.
  • Supervision and renewal of existing guarantees, as well as legal supervision of the various risk prevention instruments.
  • Management and documentation of pre-litigation files and the search for associated solutions.

Your profile

  • We are looking for a lawyer (freelance/consultant) with experience in commercial law, company law and/or claims (bankruptcies, guarantees, insurance, clauses, etc.) at both European and global level.
  • Very good command of FR/EN, both written and spoken
  • Good written and oral communication, editorial and argumentative skills
  • Able to make decisions and consult relatively quickly
  • High level of autonomy and strong personal organisation
  • Idefinitely have 3 to 5 years of experience and are available 2 to 3 days a week

The position involves all the activities of the liability department with a rich and varied range of activities: legal advice, administrative management of files, negotiation of insurance policies. These activities take place in a very international context with contacts at national and international level, but also with clients or their legal departments, as well as with legal representatives in the context of litigation.

The management and supervision of insurance policies involves direct interaction with insurers, insurance brokers and the Group Insurance Department (DARAG) within the Holding Company. For all these reasons, the world of credit, risk management and credit insurance offers a highly formative professional environment which deserves to be discovered!
