Are you passionate about logistics and eager to lead your team to success? Then the position of Logistics Site Manager - Food retail could be just the next step in your carrer! You will be working for one of the world’s leading logistics companies and your position is dedicated to a famous customer in the retail sector.Your RoleThe Logistics Site Manager leads the operational team of Kontich and is responsible for the operational and financial results (short, medium and long term) of the site. In this position you are strategically and commercially responsible for the results and successes of this site.Your Responsibilities
  • Management, development and coaching of management team,
  • Plan and schedule all warehousing and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient manner;
  • Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures;
  • Ensure that financial and operational goals are met and clearly explained and visualized (monthly KPI’s),
  • Optimize the functioning of the site, P&L owner (Profit & Loss),
  • Act as Business Partner for the customer; follow up on MBR and QBR meetings,
  • Ensure effective social stakeholders management, Implement a Continuous Improvement Program, Strictly adhere to all QSHE directives (incl. Code of Conduct, Ethical Behaviour, etc.).
Your Skills And Experiences
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, Business Administration, etc.,
  • Extensive experience in an operational management position, preferably in the field of contract logistics (3PL); Experience in retail is a must,
  • Analytical skills, sense of results and concern for quality. Operational and tactical decision making expertise,
  • Result driven mindset, good communication skills and strong team spirit,
  • Demonstrated influencing & social negotiation abilities, diplomacy skills to create a consensus, and outstanding stress management skills,
  • Dutch (native/bilingual) and English (fluent) are required, advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, …) is also expected.
