Functional Analyst Position

Hays is looking for a Functional Analyst with Mainframe experience for one of our clients in Brussels.

The role you will take:

You will translate business needs into a functional and technical solution for implementation by mainframe development teams.
You will work with business representatives and other IT teams to build the best possible solution.
You will prepare and perform functional tests before validating the solution with the business.
You may also manage one or several project(s) and document the functional and technical aspects of the applications.
You may need to implement changes in the programs if necessary.

Your profile:

You have a higher education degree (bachelor or master) in a relevant field for the position.
You have previous experience in a similar role.
You are proficient in classic office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
You can understand how a PL/1 program works, or you are willing to learn this skill quickly.
You have basic knowledge of relational databases (SQL, DB2, etc.).
Fluent in Dutch with professional knowledge of French

Assets:

You have knowledge of mainframe and programming languages such as PL/1, Cobol, etc.
You know how social security and mutualities work in Belgium (insurance, benefits, healthcare, etc.).
You are familiar with one or more analytical methods such as UML.
