Overview
Your opportunity to join an agile and high performing team to drive revenue for Mastercard across Western Europe. The Divisional Business Development team is focused on building and maintaining strong partnerships with key partners across the entire payments value chain. These partners represent some of the most entrepreneurial and innovative organizations Mastercard works with today and are key to maintaining a successful payments ecosystem. Through these partnerships and the utilization of our full set of products we are delivering new and exciting solutions benefitting consumers and merchants alike.
You will report to the SVP Business Development & Strategy WE, providing support to the Local and Divisional Business Development teams in driving value for our clients. The job will require the establishment of close working relationships with stakeholders throughout Mastercard as well as partner organizations to drive incremental Mastercard volume and future-proofing our business. We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical problem solver with a creative outlook and the ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
Role
- Support Divisional and Local account leads with Operational issues relating to accounts in the Acceptance and Digital Payments value chains.
- Develop strong relationships and understanding of the entities that make up the Acceptance and Digital Payments value chains including PSPs, Acquirers, Market Places and Technology Providers.
- Develop strong knowledge of current and future Mastercard products for the Acceptance and Digital Payments value chains.
- Develop detailed account plans and business review materials to support effective management of key client relationships
- Support growth of each account through Product and VAS sales
- Self-starter/self-motivated
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
- Ability to navigate through large organizations and influence without direct authority
- Acute understanding of the Payment Acceptance value chain as well as the business models deployed by tech companies
- Ability to think outside the box and recognise the value of alternative thinking
- Good communicator and influencer with strong negotiation skills
- Essential to be comfortable in a multi-tasking environment with the ability to give clear direction to team and customers alike
- Demonstrate strong relationship management experience throughout all levels of customer organisations
- Ability to build and maintain internal relationships with senior management and key stakeholders across the business, gaining support for the strategic direction of the business
