• Market Analyses

We are looking for a person to gather, analyze, and interpret market analyses both in financial and macroeconomics as well as physical markets (e.g. coffee, wheat, corn, vegetable oils, pepper, energy, packaging markets) to support successful hedging, trading and sourcing in order to ensure Paulig’s competitiveness. You develop price risk management tools and metrics and provide management level reports about all sourced items by Paulig. Building supplier pricing analysis by category to support Sourcing Managers is also part of you work.

• Hedging and Trading Performance

You work closely with our Trading Manager and Sourcing Manager and conduct market analyses and deliver information to support development of hedging strategies and to enable educated transactions. You support risk management strategies & coverage recommendations and give market insights, benchmark and analytics (back trading & simulations) to support decisions making. You support us in identifying opportunities to change supplier contract terms to increase our financial hedging capability.

• Risk Management

You act according to accepted Paulig Group Commodity Risk Management policy and practices, develop the risk management tools, processes and metrics further.You act as an active member in several teamsto support decision making and negotiations and thus have excellent communication and presentation skills so you can convincingly articulate your analysis to different stakeholders and challenge us. You will be part of our dynamic and ambitious team, working closely with physical traders, treasury, and the finance department. The person we are looking for has strong analytical skills with business acumen and holds a team player mindset.We want to see ambition and drive, but also have some minimum criteria that we hope you meet:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience and strong expertise e.g. in market analyses and/or commodities trading, market intelligence and risk management.
• Curiosity and willingness to grow in the field of international raw material sourcing.
• Master’s Degree with excellent credentials in a relevant field, e.g. Economics or Engineering.
• Fluent written and spoken English and excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience in trading and/or risk management is a major advantage.
• SAP and CTRM system experience is an advantage.
