I am contacting you as my client are currently looking for a Mechanical project engineer and a Mechanical piping design engineer to join their project on a 6 month freelance basis.

The client is working on heavy industry process plant projects, carrying out a large-scale expansion which is on a brownfield site.

The client needs two separate consultants, but with similar skill sets. The roles are to start ASAP with October 4th or October 10th ideal for the client.

START: ASAP

DURATION: 6 Month Project – Potential Extension

LOCATION: South Belgium, South Brussels

RATES: Good Market Rates – Daily Basis

MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

· Mechanical Engineering professional (Piping, valves, pumps, HVAC, cooling, actuators)

· Process Plant Projects delivery experience (ideally onshore process plants, plant expansion)

· Experience constructing packages such as piping, flanges, valves, mechanical structures

· Knowledge of isometrics, data sheet population, P&IDs, mechanical layout, design model review

· Ability to pick up and deliver work packages, liaise with EPC contractor for delivery

· Client-side experience is very beneficial, site-based experience is also beneficial

· Planning with MS Projects, Primavera or other tools is very beneficial

· English and French Language Skills (Candidates must understand written French)

· VCA or similar Belgium equivalent

The client requires a Mechanical Project Engineer to join them on a six month project, the project has just finished detailed design and will be moving into procurement and pre-construction. You will be involved through procurement, construction, installation and commissioning.
