National Sales Manager – New Team Build and Product Launch - Haematology

IQVIA are recruiting for an experienced pharmaceutical industry National Sales Manager (Country Manager) with responsibility for Belgium and France (but based in Belgium) as part of an EU team expansion, ahead of a highly anticipated monoclonal antibody product launch in the haematology therapy area.

The client in question is a global biopharmaceutical company, dedicated to bringing biosimilar medicines to market, ensuring high-quality biologics are available to more patients at cost effective prices. Since their launch in 2012 they have developed the industry’s most rapidly advancing biosimilar medicines portfolio and become leaders in this field.

In this exciting newly created role, with responsibility for managing a small team of Market Access Managers and MSLs, key tasks will include:

  • Setting the commercial strategy and ambitious goals
  • Country operational and leadership management
  • Supporting operational execution
  • Segmentation, targeting and KAM segmentation
  • KOL management and managing relationships with referral centers
  • Responsibility for government affairs related activities
  • Providing strategic support to the field force to ensure delivery of broad business objectives
  • Implementation of the country business plan
  • Driving on-going portfolio analysis that results in optimization of resource allocation
  • Coordinating and leading tender and market access activities
  • Gathering information on market trends and competitors’ activities to enhance strategic decision making
  • Leading regular business reviews with clear KPIs and action plans.

Skills & experience required:

  • Relevant degree level education, ideally in a Business or Life Science discipline
  • Proven track record of success in a pharma industry field-based, customer facing leadership role, ideally with experience of managing senior level personnel i.e. Key Account Managers, Market Access Managers, MSL
  • Broad understanding of the health economy in this country
  • Financial, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Creative, innovative thinker with outstanding presentation and influencing skills
  • Previous haematology therapy area expertise strongly preferred
  • Fluent in local country language and strong English speaker
  • Eligibility to work full-time in the country in question
  • Full driving license.
