  • Excellent IT skills and know-how required
  • Live streaming experience and understanding of software such as OBS or Stream Labs considered an asset
  • Proven technical knowledge will be considered an asset
  • Audio editing software skills considered a plus
  • Experience in network administration and maintenance of operational hardware considered an asset
  • Relevant work experience as an IT administrator and/or providing technical solutions in video production and live streaming is a plus
  • Relevant university degree is a plus
  • Fluent in English (written and oral), any additional EU language considered an asset
  • Familiarity with virtual event platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Hopin required
  • Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects proficiency considered an asset
  • Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator knowledge considered an asset
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies as required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
  • Understanding of React or Java Script considered an asset
Responsibilities
  • Develop IT solutions and setups and provide IT support to the rest of the team
  • Assist with the set-up and configuration of online and hybrid event platforms
  • Ensure events run smoothly and participants have a great experience
  • Assist with technical aspects of the production process, including sound and lighting equipment, video and audio streaming, and virtual event software
  • Coordinate with location’s AV teams to set up technical equipment for hybrid events
  • Assist with the Live stream during online conferences
  • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues during events
  • Event set-up (cameras, image mixing, sound system, lighting, etc.)
  • Contribute to improving our streaming services and integrating new technology into the QED workflow
This is a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and engage your creativity in virtual and hybrid events. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in all stages of the event life cycle and receive basic training and a thorough development plan. This is a 6-month paid internship (CIP contract).The internship will ideally start in May 2023
