Vlerick is a school, but it is run as a company, aligned with the high standards we foster in our different programmes. We are looking for an enthusiastic PhD researcher with knowledge of & passion for enterprise architecture & digital transformation to help us carry out our mission!

The job

• Work on a PhD in digital transformation, data-driven business growth, digital design & enterprise architecture with Stijn Viaene as your promotor.
• Conduct research in collaboration with faculty and other researchers, incl. desk research, data collection & data analyzation.
• Disseminate findings to an academic and business audience, and to society at large, incl. papers, reports, articles & social media posts.
• Apply for long-term academic project funding.
• Provide support for our teaching activities in both executive education and MBA/Master courses.

You

• Have obtained a master’s degree with an above-average academic performance, meaning yearly exam results equaling 68% (honours) or more, at least twice, of which minimum once in the Masters’ degree.
• Are passionate about the topic of digital transformation.
• Have good analytical skills.
• Want to conduct research, relevant to both the academic and the business world.
• Are fluent in English and have a research mind-set.
• Can work autonomously but also like being part of a team.
• Have a proactive attitude and are tech-savvy.
• Can choose to be located on our campus in Ghent, Brussels or Leuven, in combination with your home office.
