Darling Ingredients International develops, produces and markets ingredients of animal origin for end products for very diverse applications such as pharmaceutics, food, feed, technology and energy, using innovative process technologies. Innovative process technologies form the basis for the development and production of the end products such as animal proteins and minerals.

Rousselot, part of Darling Ingredients, the world’s largest producer of gelatin and collagen peptides, is committed to develop innovative and sustainable production processes. Gelatin is a versatile product which is mainly processed in pharmaceutical applications, confectionery, dairy, fish and meat products, whereas collagen peptides are used for health and nutrition applications. Rousselot’s new range of purified gelatins and collagens target the biomedical market for research and clinical applications.

The Process development and innovation department of Rousselot, responsible for development of new process technology concepts as well as performance improvement of existing production processes, is searching for a Pilot Plant Technician to complete their team.

Missions:

  • Participate to the development and improvement of new process and new product for Rousselot
  • Support transfer of technology from pilot to industrial scale
  • Perform trials and experiment related to the project at laboratory and pilot scale
  • Support installation start up in production unit

Activities / responsibilities:

  • Record experimental data and redaction of trial report
  • Source of proposal for experiment design, improvement of pilot plant
  • Perform specific analysis in QC laboratory for pilot sample
  • Maintain the pilot plant in good state (cleaning, HSE, 5S, maintenance, etc)
  • Perform cleaning of pilot installation after trials
  • Redaction of trial report in English
