We design and manufacture sensor-based sorting machines and integrated post-harvest solutions for the food industry, using the world’s most advanced grading, sorting, peeling, and analytical technology. Our mission is to enable our customers to improve returns, gain operational efficiencies, and ensure a safe food supply via smart and easy-to-use technologies. To achieve this, we operate centers of excellence, regional offices, and manufacturing locations within the United States, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa and Australasia.

As part of our Aftermarket & Service team, we are currently recruiting a Process Engineer to join our global HQ offices in Leuven.

Main responsibility areas will be

Shop orders:

  • Daily follow up on requests for internal assembly jobs based on output of the ERP system. This can be introduced through engineering, service or purchasing.
  • Be the to-go person for your colleagues to help on parts and assemblies in the ERP system
  • Pro-actively plan the necessary assembling jobs to maintain the safety stocks

Engineering interface:

  • Secure transformation of engineering documentation into final piece lists prepared for purchase and production
  • Secure coordination and administrative support of engineering change

control

  • Closely cooperate with the development team at launching new products in production
  • Map and propose any processes, with regard to material flow and efficiency, as well as continuous improvements
  • Be responsible for the creation, work instruction registration and training with the ERP system in the Part management and Production area
  • Work in terms of internal procedures, processes and instructions in close corporation with the process engineers in Slovakia

Safety:

Through own work and conduct at the workplace, contribute to fulfillment of the policy and quality objectives, and fulfil own tasks and duties stated in the quality management system documentation

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in relevant studies
  • General technical background (either through studies or experience) to understand the assembling processes
  • 3+ years’ experience covering above tasks in an international and highly technical product environment
  • Working knowledge of Dutch written & spoken, fluent English
  • General interest in machinery/(electro)mechanical/electrical products
  • Advanced user of MS Office suit.
  • Strong experience with ERP platforms used in Production or Supply Chain processes. Familiarity with IFS will be a strong asset.
  • Meticulous way of working with data entry and processing focusing on accuracy
