Program Manager

• Successful deliver large product development programmes in an Agile engineering organization
• Work collaboratively with cross functional and cross divisional teams to meet defined goals and objectives, as part of overall roadmap and programme delivery
• Work with vendors, stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop detailed work package definitions, budget, resourcing plan and implementation plan
• Drive collaboration and teamwork to execute the plan and monitor progress against the plan
• Engage all stakeholder groups to create project teams responsible for the development, testing and operational handover of systems.
• Must be able to do lead project team responsible for design and implementation of key technical components, frameworks, interfaces
• Lead a highly technical staff assigned to programme as technical subject matter experts
• Create and maintain detailed level program plans, risk registers, and other program office deliverables
• Carry out effective and proactive risk, issue & change management
• Provide accurate and timely status reporting for internal and external customers
• Manage project forecasting of allocated resources and overall budget
• Capture performance metrics with respect to team productivity, quality and customer satisfaction
• Work with various areas of the organization within and outside the Engineering including project members, management, vendors, and other business groups

• Have
  • 10 years of experience managing telecommunications development/engineering teams on implementation of major product development programs
  • 5+ years proven competence in delivering successful software development programmes utilizing both Agile and DevOps development methodologies in a complex business / technical environment
  • Prior technical experience in design, development and integration engineering projects
• Possess strong programme management and negotiation skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment are musts.
• Possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including oral/written communications, relationship building, negotiation and conflict mediation – across a broad range of levels in the organization
• Are
  • Experienced in iterative agile development and continuous software delivery best practices
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, able to balance multiple projects and tasks, complete them successfully, and within timelines
  • Highly proficient in Jira, Business Intelligence and Reporting industry standard tools
  • Able to travel internationally
• Hold a first Degree or equivalent in Computing Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline
